Klondike Facts

The Dawson City Nuggets were a hockey team from Dawson City that challenged the reigning champion Ottawa Senators, also known as The Silver Seven in January, 1905, for the Stanley Cup.  Unfortunately, they suffered the most lopsided single-game defeat in the history of Stanley Cup play.

Percy DeWolfe Memorial Mail Race

A 338.1-km (210-mile), mid-distance dogsled race following a historic mail route used by Percy DeWolfe for 35 years. Starts at 10 a.m. in front of the old post office in Dawson City, YT and follows the Yukon River to Eagle, AK and back. The 64.4-km (40-mile) junior race starts at 12 p.m. W rap-up banquet is open to everyone.
